Pastoral Advisory CouncilAppointed by the pastor as a consultative body representing the ministerial needs of the whole parish. Consensus and Discernment are the forms of decision making, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This group assists the pastor in prayerful, active care of the parish.
Pastoral Finance CouncilAppointed by the pastor, as required by Canon Law. A consultative body and administrative support for the pastor in matters of finances and investments of the Parish.
Stewardship CommitteeWe are in the process of formation of this committee. Appointed by the pastor who have the task of spreading the message of true Christian Stewardship by educating parishioners regarding their role as stewards. Stewardship is, receiving God's gifts gratefully, managing them responsibly, sharing them in justice and love, and returning them an increase to the Lord. Stewardship needs volunteers to help greet people at Mass, welcome newcomers, work on parish directory, help with fund raising and community building activities and coordinate Stewardship of Treasure in the Spring, Stewardship of Service in August, and Stewardship of Faith in September. Sharing in Ministry in the diocesan appeal held in October.
Maintenance CommitteeSupports the work of the maintenance coordinator. Helps to coordinate the overall schedule and upkeep of the buildings. Coordinates volunteer projects and helps keep the cost of repairs and maintenance down by using parishioner talents.
Worship CommitteeConcerned with the celebration of the Eucharist and coordinating the Liturgy and environment of the Church.
Religious FormationConcerned with the religious formation of the entire parish, students, adults, sacramental preparation, Christian Initiation. Plans, directs, informs, and strengthens what exists. Changes what needs to be changed and encourages new processes.
Family Life CommitteeCoordinates activities of family life, nurtures existing programs, raises awareness of the needs of families in the parish, seeks to strengthen families of all ages. Develops programs that are needed. Offers support and encouragement to the family. Invites involvement of families in parish activities.
Youth Advisory CommitteeSupports youth and youth activities. Assists youth ministers in providing a Christian atmosphere and program that will nurture and develop faith. Plans, encourages, supports, evaluates, and leads the young people of the parish.
Social Concerns CommitteeWe are in the process of formation of this committee. Their concern would be the social challenges within the parish and the wider community of St. Frances Cabrini. Evaluate community needs and plan and execute action. Promote and develop programs of education for the parish family. Work with other institutions of social service in the city.
Hispanic Catholic Ministries CommitteeAn advisory group to the Pastor promoting ministries and activities in the parish sevrving the Hispanic culture and language.
Mission CouncilA group advisory to the pastor that will promote missionary opportunities for our parish family. |
