Angela and Mike Behrens were married in 1987.  They have been blessed with two children, Stephen, born in 1989, and Michelle, born in 1992. 

The Behrens family relocated back to Texas in 2005 after living in New Hampshire for almost 16 years. Shortly after moving back to TX, their family expanded to include a German Sheppard mix, Harley.

Angela has always had a passion for working with children of all ages.  She has a Master’s Degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and taught for 3 years in public elementary schools in Texas. 

After moving to New Hampshire, Angela began working on the early childhood level.  In 1993, she founded Discovery Child Enrichment Center, Inc. where her mission was to provide the absolute highest quality childcare possible.  With a staff of 43 childcare professionals serving 149 children, her center grew to be one of the largest and most successful in the state.  In 2003

Angela sold the center to spend more time with her family.  At that time, she began working at St. Mary Academy Regional School as Assistant Principal. 

Angela’s passion for youth ministry began while she was still in high school. 

She credits her love of youth ministry to her CYO years in Humble, TX and her incredible Youth Minister there. 

While in NH, Angela and Mike began the youth ministry program at their home parish and were the coordinators for that group for 5 years. 

Angela continued to work with the high school aged youth by teaching Confirmation for her remaining years in NH.   

Since coming back to TX, Angela has enjoyed teaching Second Grade religious education at St. Frances Cabrini and being a volunteer to the VOYC program. 

She is currently working on the Basic Certificate for Youth Ministry and is very excited to be working with the high school youth and their families in our parish.   

Angela enjoys reading, cooking, shopping, and entertaining extended family members in her home.  The Behrens family love to camp and try to visit new places in their camper as often as possible.
