Jesus in his humanity was able to weep for the loss of a loved friend Lazarus.  In his divinity, He was able to promise comfort for those who are grieving.
 
St Frances Cabrini offers a ministry of grief support called Starting a New Life. For more than 19 years this ministry has helped people who have lost a loved one to death.  It is a peer ministry, which means that all facilitators have experienced a loss, and can aid those in grief.  This ministry offers two ten week sessions, one in the fall and one in the winter, to help people who have lost a spouse, a parent, a child, a relative, a close friend to death. 
 
This is a Christ-centered ministry that focuses on helping those who are grieving by the support and empathy of those who have grieved themselves, and helps them to work through their grieving process, and begin their new life without the one they have lost.
